Naseeruddin Shah as Dawood in Dev Anand's film

Dev Anand has just completed making his next film Charge Sheet and being the 60th year of Navketan Films, the evergreen star is trying to make sure this one is remembered for a long time. Apart from introducing four new faces, the film also has Divya Dutta and Jackie Shroff, besides Dev Anand himself, in lead roles.

However one of the most interesting roles in the film - which has been kept a closely guarded secret - is that of Naseeruddin Shah, who plays the role of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Our source said, “The film is a murder mystery that also involves the underworld. Dev Anand plays a retired CBI officer while Naseeruddin Shah plays Dawood Ibrahim in the film. Although the look of Naseer would not be similar to the underworld don, his mannerisms and modus operandi would be same. There are also enough references made to the character in the film which suggest that he is Dawood Ibrahim.” When contacted, Dev Anand did not deny the fact but said, “My film is a murder mystery and there is definitely an underworld element to it. However, I would not like to comment on the questions you are asking. I will speak about the film at the right time.”
